DTC B1158: Gauge Control Module Lost Communication with Relay Module

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTC's, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN system diagnosis Test Mode A (see TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A ).

Clear the DTCs using the HDS.
Cycle the ignition switch to OFF, and then back ON.
Check for DTCs by selecting the DTCs MENU (DTCs) from the HDS.
Is DTC B1158 indicated?

YES - Go to step 4.

NO - Intermittent failure. The gauge control system is OK at this time. Check pin fits and connections.
Check for DTCs by the DTCs MENU (DTCs) of the HDS.
Is DTC B1005 also indicated?

YES - Go to RELAY CONTROL MODULE INPUT TEST .

NO - Go to GAUGE CONTROL MODULE INPUT TEST .
