Alternator Removal and Installation: Removal
- Make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the radio, then write down the customer's radio station presets.
- Disconnect the negative cable from the battery first, then disconnect the positive cable.
- Remove the drive belt (see DRIVE BELT INSPECTION
).
- Remove the auto-tensioner (see DRIVE BELT AUTO-TENSIONER REPLACEMENT
).
- Disconnect the alternator connector (A) and BLK wire (B) from the alternator.

- Remove the three bolts securing the alternator.

- Remove the alternator.
