Initiator Replacement: Rear

  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  2. Raise the rear of the vehicle, and support it with safety stands in the proper locations (see LIFT AND SUPPORT POINTS ).
  3. Remove the rear wheel.
  4. Remove the rear fender cover (see REAR FENDER COVER REPLACEMENT ).
  5. Disconnect the initiator connector (A).

  6. Remove the initiator (B) from the inner side of the wheelwell.
  7. Install the initiator in the reverse order of removal.
