Air Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor Monitor & Readiness Code

NOTE: Do not turn ignition switch off.
NOTE: Enable criteria includes: Ensure engine coolant temperature is 140°F (60°C) or higher.
  1. Connect Honda PGM Tester or the HDS to DLC. See Figure .
  2. Start engine.
  3. Start engine and test drive vehicle under stop-and-go conditions with short periods of steady cruise. During test drive decelerate by completely releasing throttle for at least 5 seconds. After about 3.5 miles, the readiness code should switch from not complete to complete.
  4. Check the OBD status screen for Air Fuel Ratio (A/F) DTCs P0133 or P2A00 in the DTCs menu. If they are passed, readiness code is set. If they are not passed, go to next step.
  5. If readiness code is not complete, check for a temporary DTC. If there is no DTC, one or more of enable criteria was not met; repeat procedure.
