ATF Level Check
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Acura 3.2TL, 2001 Acura 3.2TL, and 2000 Acura 3.2TL. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
Keep all foreign particles out of the transmission.
- Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature (the radiator fan comes on).
- Park the vehicle on the level ground. Turn off the engine.
- Remove the dipstick (yellow loop) (A) from the transmission, and wipe it with a clean cloth.
- Insert the dipstick into the transmission.
- Remove the dipstick and check the fluid level. It should be between the upper mark (B) and lower mark (C).
- If the level is below the lower mark, pour the recommended fluid into the filler hole (A) to bring it to the upper mark. Always use Honda ATF-Z1 Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF). Using a non-Honda ATF can affect shift quality.
- Install the ATF filler bolt (B) with a new sealing washer (C).
- Insert the dipstick back into the transmission.
