Lack Of Power
- Check air cleaner.
- Check fuel pressure. See BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES article.
- Check throttle cable and throttle body for binding, misadjustment or sticking.
- Check engine compression. See MECHANICAL INSPECTION under PRELIMINARY INSPECTION & ADJUSTMENTS in BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES article.
- Check throttle position sensor (TPS) circuit. See DTC P012x: THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION in appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article.
- Check intake manifold runner control (IMRC) system and intake air duct. See INTAKE MANIFOLD RUNNER CONTROL SYSTEM under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS in SYSTEM & COMPONENT TESTING article.
- Check three way catalytic converter (TWC).
- Check manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP) circuit. See DTC P010x: MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR CIRCUIT PROBLEM in appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article.
