Intermediate Shaft: Disassembly

Remove the heat shield (A) and intermediate shaft outer seal (B) from the bearing support (C). See Fig 1 .
Remove the set ring (D) and the external snap ring (E). See Fig 1 .
Press the intermediate shaft (A) out of the intermediate shaft bearing (B) using the special tools and a press. Be careful not to damage the metal rings (C) on the intermediate shaft during disassembly. See Fig 2 .
Remove the internal snap ring. See Fig 3 .
Press the intermediate shaft bearing (A) out of the bearing support (B) using the special tools and a press. See Fig 4 .
