Wiper Motor
CAUTION:
Carefully remove wiper arms, so as not to damage hood.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Remove cap nuts and remove both wiper arms. Disconnect 5-pin wiper motor harness connector. See Fig 1 . Using fused jumper wires, apply battery voltage and ground specified terminals of wiper motor connector. See WIPER MOTOR TEST table. Replace wiper motor if operation is not as specified.
- Reconnect wiper motor harness connector. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using an analog voltmeter, backprobe terminals No. 3 and 5 of wiper motor harness connector. Operate motor at low or high speed. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Voltmeter should alternately indicate zero volts and a maximum of 4 volts as wiper motor runs. Replace wiper motor if operation is not as specified.
