Wiper Motor

CAUTION: Carefully remove wiper arms, so as not to damage hood.
  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Remove cap nuts and remove both wiper arms. Disconnect 5-pin wiper motor harness connector. See Fig 1 . Using fused jumper wires, apply battery voltage and ground specified terminals of wiper motor connector. See WIPER MOTOR TEST  table. Replace wiper motor if operation is not as specified.
  2. Reconnect wiper motor harness connector. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using an analog voltmeter, backprobe terminals No. 3 and 5 of wiper motor harness connector. Operate motor at low or high speed. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Voltmeter should alternately indicate zero volts and a maximum of 4 volts as wiper motor runs. Replace wiper motor if operation is not as specified.
