Wheel Axial RUNOUT
Raise the vehicle off the ground, and support it with safety stands in the proper locations. Place the dial gauge on each front and rear wheel rim, turn the wheel slowly by hand. Check the axial and radial runout for front/rear wheel.
Turn the wheel slowly by hand and check for excessive axial and radial runout. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . Replace the wheel bearing with new one if the service limit is exceeded. See FRONT & REAR AXIAL RUNOUT SPECIFICATIONS and FRONT & REAR WHEEL RADIAL RUNOUT SPECIFICATIONS .
