Door Key Cylinder Switch

  1. Remove appropriate door panel. See DOOR PANEL  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect door key cylinder switch Gray 3-pin connector. Using DVOM, check continuity between 3-pin connector terminals. With door key cylinder switch in UNLOCK position, continuity should be present between 3-pin connector terminals No. 3 (Green/Red wire) and No. 2 (Black wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  2. With door key cylinder switch in LOCK position, continuity should be present between 3-pin connector terminals No. 1 (Green/White wire) and No. 2 (Black wire). With door key cylinder switch in OFF position, continuity should not exist. If continuity does not exist as specified, replace door key cylinder switch.
