Wheel Speed Sensor

The wheel speed sensor detects wheel rotation speed. Wheel speed sensor consists of a permanent magnet, coil and trigger wheel (pulser). As pulser rotates past magnet, AC current is generated. AC frequency changes in proportion to wheel speed. These frequency pulses are sent to ABS control unit to determine wheel speed.
