Drive Belts: Adjustment: Procedures

Drive belt adjustment is not required as it is equipped with an automatic drive belt tensioner. Use the following procedure to check tensioner position and for belt replacement.

  1. Check that the pointer (A) on the auto-tensioner housing is not beyond the edge of the indicator rib (B) on the tensioner base. See Fig 1.
  2. Move the auto-tensioner to relieve tension from the alternator belt and remove the alternator.
