Trunk Actuator/Latch Switch

  1. Open trunk lid. Disconnect trunk key cylinder switch 6-pin connector. See Fig 1 . Using a DVOM, check continuity between connector terminals No. 2 and 6 with switch in locked position. If continuity exists, replace faulty switch. If no continuity exists, rotate key to unlocked position and check continuity between terminals. If no continuity exists, replace faulty switch.
  2. Using jumper wire, momentarily apply battery voltage to trunk lock actuator terminal No. 3. Using another jumper wire, connect terminal No. 4 to ground. Replace actuator if it does not move to unlocked position.
