DTC P1607: Powertrain Control Module (Pcm) Internal Circuit Failure (2001-03 3.5RL)
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Acura 3.5RL, 2003 Acura 3.5RL, 2002 Acura 3.5RL, and 2001 Acura 3.5RL. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
PCM is part of the immobilizer system. When substituting a known-good PCM, rewrite vehicle immobilizer code to replacement PCM using Honda PGM tester, or engine will not start.
Perform PCM reset procedure. See PCM RESET PROCEDURE/CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Turn ignition switch ON (II). Wait 3 seconds. If DTC P1607 does not reset, problem is intermittent. System is okay at this time. If DTC P1607 resets, substitute a known-good PCM, and recheck. If symptom or indication goes away, replace original PCM.
