Outside Air Temperature Display

If indicator displays 888.8 for more than 2 seconds after selecting outside air temperature display mode, check for open in Brown/White wire between terminal A19 of instrument cluster 30-pin harness connector and outside air temperature display. See Figure . If circuit is okay, test sensor. See OUTSIDE AIR AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR  . If sensor tests okay, replace instrument cluster.
