One Or Both Mirrors Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, check for voltage between power mirror switch connector terminal "I" (Black/Yellow wire) and ground. See Figure. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check for blown fuse No. 17 (7.5-amp). If fuse is okay, check for open in Black/Yellow wire between fuse No. 17 (7.5-amp) and power mirror switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
  2. Turn ignition off. Using DVOM, check continuity between power mirror switch connector terminal "J" (Black wire) and ground connector G502. Ground connector G502 is located below driver's door side trim, behind trunk and fuel door levers. Continuity should exist. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Black wire.
