Actuator Assembly

  1. Disconnect actuator assembly 4-pin connector. Actuator assembly is located on left side of engine compartment. See Figure . Ensure output linkage moves smoothly. Using a fused jumper wire, connect terminal "D" of actuator connector to battery voltage. Using another jumper wire, connect terminal "A" of actuator connector to ground. See Fig 1 .
  2. Listen for clicking sound from clutch, and locked output linkage. If actuator output linkage is not locked, replace actuator. If clicking is heard and actuator output linkage is locked, check actuator motor operation in each output linkage position (motor can be heard moving). If actuator motor operates as specified, it is operating properly. Replace actuator motor if it does not operate as specified.
