Ambient Temperature Indicator

If indicator displays 888.8 for more than 2 seconds after selecting ambient temperature display mode, check for open in Brown/White wire between instrument cluster 30-pin connector "A" terminal No. 18 and ambient temperature sensor. See Figure. If circuit is okay, test sensor. See AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR  under COMPONENT TESTS. If sensor tests okay, replace instrument cluster.
