Passenger's Power Window Switch

Remove passenger's door panel. See DOOR PANEL  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove passenger's power window switch from door panel. Disconnect 6-pin connector (3.2TL) or 8-pin connector (3.5RL) from switch. Check for continuity between specified switch terminals with switch in each specified position. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . See PASSENGER'S POWER WINDOW SWITCH  table. If continuity is not as specified, replace passenger's power window switch.

UP 1 & 2; 3, 4, 5 & 6
OFF 1, 3, 4, 5 & 6
DOWN 1, 3, 5 & 6; 2 & 4
3.5RL (1)
UP 3 & 5
OFF 1 & 3; 3 & 7; 3 & 8
DOWN 3 & 5
(1) Illumination bulbs are positioned between terminals No. 4 and 6. Replace illumination bulb and retest before replacing switch.
