A/T Gear Position Switch: Test

Remove the front console (see CONSOLES AND BEVERAGE HOLDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
Disconnect the A/T gear position switch connector (14P).
Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table below.
Move the shift lever back and forth without pushing the push button at each switch position, and check for continuity within the range of free play.
If there is no continuity within the range of free play, adjust the position of the switch as described on the next page.
