Alternator Replacement

  1. Remove the battery negative cable, then disconnect the positive cable.
  2. Disconnect the 3P connector from the alternator.

  3. Remove the terminal nut and the WHT wire from the B terminal.
  4. Remove the adjusting bolt, mounting nut, then remove the alternator belt from the pulley.

  5. Pull out the through bolt, then remove the alternator from the mount brackets.
  6. Remove the lower mount bracket, then remove the alternator from below the vehicle.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  8. Adjust the alternator belt tension after installation (see ALTERNATOR BELT INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT  ).
