Anti-Theft & Keyless Entry Systems: Operation

Keyless entry system allows locking and unlocking vehicle with remote transmitter(s). If UNLOCK button on remote transmitter is pushed once, only the driver's door will unlock. If UNLOCK button is pushed a second time, the remaining doors will unlock. Ceiling (dome) lights will illuminate when UNLOCK button is depressed if ceiling light switch is in its center position. If any door is not opened, ceiling lights will go out after 30 seconds, doors will lock automatically and security system will rearm. Ceiling lights will go out immediately if remote transmitter LOCK button is depressed within 30 seconds.

The trunk can be opened by pushing and holding TRUNK button for 2 seconds. If key is in ignition switch, trunk will not open. When doors lock or unlock, system will verify by flashing parking lights, side marker lights and taillights once if locked, twice if unlocked.
