Piston Pin Installation

  1. Install one piston snap ring. Coat piston pin bore, connecting rod bore and piston pin with engine oil. Heat piston to 158°F (70°C).
  2. Install piston pin into piston/connecting rod assembly. Assemble piston and connecting rod with embossed marks on same side. Install remaining snap ring.
