Automatic Climate Control System

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1998 Acura 3.0CL and 1998 Acura 2.3CL. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The automatic climate control system comes on when AUTO button is pressed. The system uses a combination of heated and cooled air as necessary to achieve desired temperature. Temperature control dial allows temperature to be set to 60-90°F (16-32°C). See Fig 1 .

Depending on desired temperature, system also automatically selects fresh/recirculated (passenger compartment) air. Manual operation of fresh/recirculated air is obtained by pressing appropriate button.

Pressing defrost button directs treated air to windshield. System continues to control set temperature. Pressing AUTO button returns system to normal operation. Pressing OFF button turns system off.
