Removal & Installation (2.5TL)

Note location of each spark plug wire. Disconnect wires from distributor cap. Remove hold-down bolts, distributor, heat shield and seal.
To install, reverse removal procedure. Using clean engine oil, lubricate and install NEW "O" ring. See Fig 1. Ensure distributor and cylinder head mating surfaces are clean. Install distributor, aligning distributor coupling with slot in camshaft. Connect wiring. Tighten hold-down bolts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Check ignition timing. See ADJUSTMENTS article.
