Piston Pin Installation

  1. Install one piston pin snap ring on piston. Heat piston to about 158°F (70°C). Coat piston pin bore, connecting rod bore and piston pin with engine oil.
  2. Assemble piston and connecting rod with the embossed marks on each facing the same side. Install piston pin. Install remaining piston pin snap ring.
