VTEC Solenoid Valve

Disconnect 1-pin connector from VTEC solenoid valve. Measure resistance between terminal and body ground. If resistance is 14-30ohm, remove VTEC solenoid from cylinder head and check valve filter for clogging. If there is clogging, replace engine oil filter and engine oil. If filter is not clogged, check valve movement with finger. If valve movement is normal, check engine oil pressure. See Fig 1 .
