Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Mark spark plug wires, distributor housing and cylinder head for installation reference. Disconnect distributor 10-pin connector and spark plug wires. Remove hold-down bolts and distributor.
  2. Using clean engine oil, lubricate and install NEW "O" ring. See Fig 1. Install distributor, aligning reference marks. Align distributor coupling with slot in camshaft. Connect wiring. Adjust ignition timing. Tighten mounting bolts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
