Removal & Installation: Accumulator: Installation

Install accumulator onto ABS modulator unit. See Fig 1 . Tight en bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Install ABS modulator unit into vehicle. See ABS MODULATOR UNIT. Bleed air from system. See ACCUMULATOR, MODULATOR and ABS PUMP (POWER UNIT) BLEEDING under BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  . Start engine and allow to idle a few minutes. Ensure ABS indicator light goes out and there are no brake fluid leaks. Stop engine and ensure brake fluid level in reservoir is filled to MAX level.
