Fuel System Pressure Release

WARNING: ALWAYS release fuel pressure before disconnecting any fuel injection-related component. DO NOT allow fuel to contact engine or electrical components.

Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove fuel filler cap. Fuel filter is located in the right (passenger's side) front corner of the engine compartment. Place a rag or shop towel over service bolt. Loosen 6 mm service bolt one complete turn while holding the banjo bolt. See Fig 1. Always use new washers on both sides of banjo bolt.
