Inspecting Idle Speed

  1. Start the engine and let it warm up until the cooling fan comes on. Ensure all accessories are off.
  2. Connect a tachometer to the test tachometer connector. Connect power for tachometer to jump start terminal located in the engine compartment fuse/relay box. See Fig 1 .
