DTC P1359 - CKP/TDC/CYP Sensor

  1. Connect and operate scan tester, following manufacturer's instructions. Clear codes. Start engine. Retrieve codes. If DTC P1359 appears, go to next step. If DTC 1359 does not appear, problem is intermittent. Inspect for poor connections or loose wires associated with CKP/TDC/CYP sensor and the ECM, then repair as necessary.
  2. Inspect for poor connections or loose wires associated with CKP/TDC/CYP sensor, then repair as necessary. If wiring and connections are okay, temporarily substitute known good PCM, then retest system.
