How To Use Flow Charts

  1. Use appropriate DTC flow chart corresponding to DTC or Flash Code. Remove right door sill molding. Pull back carpet to gain access to PCM. Remove PCM cover and turn PCM over.
  2. Inspect circuits as instructed in DTC flow chart. Use Digital Volt-Ohmmeter (DVOM) to measure voltage unless instructed otherwise. On some DTC flow charts, technician will be instructed to see if Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) is blinking. The MIL is located on instrument panel.
  3. If MIL is blinking, PGM-FI system must be checked. See ACURA SELF-DIAGNOSTIC article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.
  4. Once all repairs are performed, reinstall connectors and components. Ensure DTC is cleared from PCM memory. See CLEARING FAULT CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
