Automatic Adjustment Modes
Perform the following mode tests. If any problems are noted, see SYMPTOM TROUBLE SHOOTING and perform appropriate flow chart.
- Mode 1
With ignition key in lock, ensure AUTO ON steering column switch is on and shift lever in "P". Remove ignition key. Steering column should move to highest position and driver's seat moves to back fully. - Mode 2
With vehicle conditions as in Mode 1, insert ignition key without turning key. Steering column and driver's seat should move to positions before mode 1 started. - Mode 3
With driver's door open, insert ignition key without turning key. Using memory switch located on door panel, quickly press position button No. 1 or No. 2. Steering column and seat will move to selected positions. If ignition key is not inserted, only seat will move. - Mode 4
With driver's door closed, insert ignition key without turning key. Using memory switch located on door panel, quickly press position button No. 1 or No. 2. Steering column and seat will move to selected positions. If ignition key is not inserted, only seat will move.
