Code 1-4: Pressure Switch Circuit
- Using ABS "T" wrench, bleed high pressure fluid from maintenance bleed screw. See RELIEVING SYSTEM PRESSURE under BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM. Disconnect pressure switch 2-pin connector. Check continuity between pressure switch terminals. If continuity does not exist, go to next step. If continuity exists, pressure switch is defective. Replace pump assembly.
- Disconnect 18-pin connector (models without traction control) or 20-pin connector (models with traction control) from ABS control unit. Check continuity between Yellow wire terminal of pressure switch connector and ground. If continuity exists, repair short in Yellow wire between pressure switch and ABS control unit. If continuity does not exist, check for loose ABS control unit connectors. If connectors are okay, install a known-good ABS control unit and retest.
