Preliminary Checks

Before trouble shooting by symptom, ensure fuses No. 15 (10-amp) and No. 24 (15-amp or 20-amp) located in underdash fuse/relay box are okay. Also check fuses No. 39 (50-amp), No. 41 (100-amp), and No. 42 (20-amp), located in underhood main fuse/relay box. Replace fuses as necessary. Ensure horn and tachometer operate properly.

NOTE: When diagnosing vehicle by symptom, check possible failures in the order given.
