Problem Code Display

When service check connector terminals are connected with a jumper wire, EPS control unit blinks EPS indicator light to indicate problem code. The problem codes are indicated by a series of long and short blinks. One long blink equals 10 short blinks. See Figure . Add long and short blinks together to determine problem code.

The control unit can memorize any number of simultaneous problems. The problem codes are repeated sequentially beginning with lowest number. The problem code is stored in control unit memory even when ignition switch is turned off.
