DTC 7: Throttle Position Sensor

If the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) indicates Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 7, a problem may exist in the Throttle Position (TP) Sensor circuit. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . The TP Sensor is a potentiometer. It is connected to the throttle valve shaft. As the throttle position changes, the TP Sensor varies the voltage signal to the ECM.
