Trouble Shooting Procedure

If the charging system light is on, or the battery is dead or low, test the charging system in the following order.

• Battery. See BATTERY TEST  under ON-VEHICLE TESTS.
• Charging system light. See CHARGE SYSTEM LIGHT TEST  under ON-VEHICLE TESTS.
• Alternator & Regulator. See ALTERNATOR & REGULATOR TEST  under ON-VEHICLE TESTS.
