Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor

The Heated Oxygen Sensors (HO₂ S) are installed in the exhaust manifolds and detect the oxygen content in the exhaust gas. In operation, the ECM receives signals from the sensors and varies the duration of fuel injection. Heated O₂ sensors have heaters, which stabilize the output of the sensors. See Fig 1 .
