Tilt/Extend-Retract Memory Sensor Test

Remove steering column tilt cover. See STEERING COLUMN COVERS  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect steering column memory sensor 4-pin connector. See Fig 1 . Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between sensor connector terminals is as specified in TILT/EXTEND-RETRACT MEMORY SENSOR TEST table. If sensor does not test as specified, replace faulty sensor.

Extend A & B 5000
Retract A & B 1000
Tilt-Down A & C 1000
Tilt-Up A & C 5000
