Shift Lock Solenoid

  1. Remove center console. Disconnect shift lock solenoid 2-pin electrical connector from main wiring harness. Note electrical connector terminal identification. See Fig 1 .
    CAUTION: Battery voltage must be applied to correct shift lock solenoid electrical connector terminals or diode inside shift lock solenoid will be damaged.
  2. Momentarily connect battery positive terminal to terminal "A" and battery negative terminal to terminal "B". See Fig 1 . Ensure shift lock solenoid operates with battery voltage applied. Replace shift lock solenoid if solenoid fails to operate.
