Code 1-8, Accumulator Gas Leakage

  1. Check accumulator relief plug. If plug is damaged, replace accumulator. If plug is okay, start and run engine until ANTI-LOCK light goes off. Turn engine off. Repeat procedure 10 times.
  2. If light goes off each time engine is started, system is okay at this time. If symptom reappears, replace modulator. If light does not go off after each engine start, check for ABS trouble codes. If Code 1-8 is set, replace modulator. If Code 8 is not set, perform appropriate trouble code repair.
