Code 1-3, High Pressure Leakage

  1. Check modulator for brake fluid leak. If there is no fluid leak, go to next step. If there is fluid leak, tighten modulator fitting or replace modulator if necessary.
  2. Start engine. If ABS pump motor does not operate, go to next step. If pump motor operates, turn engine off after pump motor stops. Wait 30 minutes, and then restart engine. If pump motor does not operate, go to next step. If pump motor operates, wait until motor stops and then go to next step.
  3. Turn engine off. Disconnect modulator 14-pin connector. Wait 30 minutes, then check continuity between modulator connector Yellow wire and Black wire terminals. If continuity does not exist, replace modulator. If continuity exists, problem is intermittent. Check for loose connectors and terminals in pressure switch circuit.
