Cranking Test
- Connect a voltmeter and ammeter to battery. See Fig 1 . Disconnect 8-pin and 6-pin connectors from ignition control module. Ignition control module is located on right side of engine compartment.
- Use remote starter switch to crank engine. Check cranking voltage and current draw. Ensure voltage is at least 8 volts. Current draw should be less than 350 amps. Cranking speed should be above 100 RPM.
