Component Disassembly & Reassembly: Countershaft: Disassembly

Remove lock nut, spring washer and ball bearing using bearing puller. Use of a jaw-type puller can damage gear teeth. Support 4th gear on steel blocks and press shaft out of 4th and 5th gears. See Figure .
