SERVICE INFORMATION
When installing a new lock, it is a safe bet that the replacement will not use the same key as the original. Consequently, the customer either has to live with two keys or have the lock re-keyed by a lock-smith. Actually, re-keying a lock is pretty simple - follow along and we will show you how it is done.
PARTS INFORMATION
- To re-key 1986-89 models, order an A-6600 Pinning Kit from the All-Lock Co. The kit includes enough tumblers to last most dealers a lifetime, plus extra tumbler springs, return springs, face plates, and gaskets. Here is how to get in touch with All- Lock:

- To re-key 1990 Integras, order a selection of replacement tumblers and tumbler springs (in case one gets lost) from our Parts Division.PARTS INFORMATION
Part Description Part Number Tumblers (bag of 25) - No. 1 74834-SH3-305 Tumblers (bag of 25) - No. 2 74835-SH3-305 Tumblers (bag of 25) - No. 3 74836-SH3-305 Tumblers (bag of 25) - No. 4 74837-SH3-305 Tumblers (bag of 25) - No. 5 74838-SH3-305 Tumblers (bag of 25) - No. 6 74839-SH3-305 Tumbler Springs (bag of 25) 74832-SH3-305 - Remove the tumbler holder from the new lock.NOTE: To remove the tumbler holder from some locks, you must first remove the lock bezel. Be careful, they are easily damaged. Replacement bezels are available for the door locks on 1986-89 Integras (both doors) and Legends (passenger door): P/N 72128-SE3-004.
- Carefully extract the key from the tumbler holder, then remove the brass tumblers.NOTE: Each tumbler is backed by a small coil spring. These springs can fall out of the holder, so do not lose them.
- Using your Ilco Unican Honda Key Code book cross reference the key number on the customer's original key to its key code. See Fig 1 .
- Select replacement tumblers by matching their numbers to the key code numbers. The key code tells you which tumblers you need, and the order they are inserted in the tumbler holder. For example, if the key code is 21315511, the first tumbler will be a number 2 tumbler, the second will be a number 1 tumbler, the third will be a number 3 tumbler, and so forth.NOTE: * Genuine Honda tumble have the numbers (1-6) stamped on them. All-Lock tumbler numbers are determined by comparing the tumbler against the illustration provided with the kit..
- All 1986-89 locks have six-digit key codes and use six tumblers. All 1990 Integra locks have eight digit key codes, although some use eight tumblers and some seven. For locks with seven tumblers, ignore the last number in the keycode.
- Starting at the front of the tumbler holder, insert the new tumblers. Alternating from top to bottom, they should be installed in the order in which they appear in the key code. SeeFig 2 . Verify that the coil springs are in place before inserting the tumblers.
- Insert the customer's key into the tumbler holder. If properly re-keyed, all tumblers should be flush with the body of the holder. If any stick out, re-check the tumbler numbers against the key code. If the numbers match, remove the tumblers, then re-install them as in step 5, but start from the bag of the holder.
- When the tumbler holder is correctly re-keyed, reassemble the lock in the reverse order of disassembly.
- Remove the tumbler holder from the new lock.
