BRAKELIGHT Switch
- Disconnect electrical connector from brakelight switch, located near brake pedal. Note brakelight switch terminal identification. See Fig 1
.
- Using ohmmeter, check for continuity between terminals "A" and "D" with brake pedal released. Replace brakelight switch if continuity does not exist.
- Check for continuity between terminals "B" and "C" with brake pedal depressed. Continuity should exist.
- If continuity does not exist, ensure brake pedal is properly adjusted so brakelight switch can obtain proper travel for switch operation. If proper brakelight switch travel exists, replace brakelight switch.
