Removal & Installation (Vigor)
CAUTION:
Turn the ignition switch off before disconnecting the wires.
- Raise the car. Remove the drain bolt and drain the fuel into an approved container. See Fig 1. Disconnect the 4-pin connector located under the trunk floor. Remove the fuel hose protector. Disconnect the hoses. Place a jack or other support under the fuel tank. Remove the tank strap bolts and let the straps fall free. Remove the fuel tank. If the tank sticks, carefully pry it off the mount.
- Disconnect the connector from the fuel pump. See Fig 2. Remove the fuel pump mounting nuts. Remove the fuel pump from the fuel tank.
- Install a new washer on the drain bolt and the fuel pump line. For installation, reverse removal procedure.
