Removal & Installation (Integra)

  1. Relieve fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Block front wheels, jack up the rear of the car and support with jackstand. Remove the drain bolt and drain the fuel from the fuel tank into an approved container. See Fig 1. Remove the rear seat and disconnect the 6-pin connector. See Fig 2 or Fig 3 . Remove the 2-way valve cover and fuel hose protector. Disconnect the hoses. Place a jack or other support under the fuel tank. Remove the strap nuts and let the straps fall free. Remove the fuel tank. If the tank sticks, carefully pry it off the mount.
  2. Remove the fuel pump mounting nuts and remove the fuel pump from the fuel tank.
  3. Install a new washer on the fuel tank drain bolt. For installation, reverse removal procedure.
